Happy New Year!
There have been so many comedy moments of 2006 – many featuring both of the directors of my company … but since I’ve managed to thus far not mention the name of my company or embarrass the directors, I think I’ll keep it that way (this is here to remind me to remember those moments when I read this in the future).
A classic time this year was when Luis was living here in my flat – a digital feature film effects artist who stayed in our attic while he was looking for a job – he also has a passion and incredible talent for comic book styled illustration. When we’d have a group of people round, he would watch all of us and capture us perfectly in a sketch, doing something random. While most of the drawings were naturally unsuitable for public consumption, he took this one away, inked and coloured it for me.

To explain – I used to walk around in my pyjama bottoms, shouting one of the catchphrases of our household’s favourite American sitcom, where one of the lead characters shouts “You defy Chau!?” whenever someone didn’t do what he says.
Other obvious contenders were with David and Chorna; when Chorna came to visit me early on a Saturday morning and caught me sleeping in bed with one of my work mates, David (I am, in fact, straight… for the most part). Or with Nathan in one particularly eventful massage Thursday at work.
January 1st every year is my ‘London Day’ – it’s one of the only days of the year where London is almost completely empty in the morning, while most are recovering from hangovers.

Unfortunately, due to a fantastic New Years night at my flat last night, which I spent with my flatmate John, a few guests, some wine and some champagne, I didn’t manage to wake up before 9.30am, so I only made it into Oxford Circus at 11am this morning, where I met Chorna and Richard.
There was a big parade running from Buckingham Palace, through Trafalgar Square and past Piccadilly Circus, so that area of London wasn’t as empty as we’d hoped it would be. But we had an incredible day out walking through the city and taking pictures.

Haha… I’ve managed to put up some of the pictures I/we took on New Year’s Day. Thanks so much for that - I had such a great time catching up with you and seeing Richard again (hi Richard!! :: waves :: ).
I love how you have a ‘London Day’. I currently have not acquired any of these, although I do have a number of places I love to go to on a regular basis in London to remind myself of how lucky I am. All of my special places and moments usually come attached with a memory of people I’ve had the pleasure of knowing throughout my life. I’m sorry that your London Day in 2007 was delayed but even then, I think we still got to see a side to London that often remains coyly hidden away from even the locals.
Thanks so much for helping Choz.org switch over to Word Press, Aidan! As I keep saying: I simply wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for you!
(Awwwww……!!)
Happy New Year.

Hey Aidan,
Just wanted to wish you a Happy New Year and all the best for 2007. It’s great to hear how far you’ve come and your talent, ambition and determination will take you much further still.
Must make plans to meet up someday - if you’re ever up in Scotland, near Edinburgh, let me know. Good to see you at Tcom again at Christmas
I’ve been tinkering with composing music again after a break of about 10 years - you can check out some of my pieces on my website. Take care mate and “Lang may yer lum reek!”

It’s great to hear from you Del!
I’m glad you’re still making music after all this time! It brings back a lot of memories. Let me know anytime you’re anywhere close to London.
And thank you, but I have a long way to go still.
Happy New Year!
