Sunday sunday sunday!
I spent yesterday (Saturday) working on our biggest project at my company to date and managed to finish all of the work I needed to do, so I spent the whole of today (Sunday) relaxing… and found it enjoyable, although about fifteen minutes ago I was feeling like it was a really unproductive day.

Despite having some dirty clothes draped around my bed, clean clothes drying on the stand, dirty dishes on the floor from the pizza I ordered in two hours ago, a large number of empty containers for things from pistachio nuts, various iced teas, waters, and a plastic rubbish bag in the corner that I really need to take outside – the complete elements of a lazy Sunday (I really need to clean up
); under the surface of things I actually got a lot done today, in personal work, organising things and getting in touch/catching up with colleagues, friends and family.
Speaking to Remy recently, reminded me of a film we used to joke about: Brown Sugar. I’m just relaxing and watching it right now – I like this film, but Taye Diggs is far too eloquent an actor to play a hip-hop producer.
The videos of the week – entertaining stuff from a great writer – Rosecrans Baldwin.

Funny, it’s the first Sunday in a while you haven’t been working, no?? What a lovely change!!
Good to see you posting again - short posts yet often is a good way to go.
Brown Sugar is a good movie. I know what you mean about Diggs’ lack of hip-hop fluency. It doesn’t really do anything to the movie though. I really like the character dynamics because it has a nice pace and at the end of the movie you feel like you got to learn a lot about them.
Remember that episode where Ross had to dump a girl because her place was such a tip? At the end of it, Monica was standing outside his ex’s door, asking her if she could clean it up for her. “I couldn’t sleep…”
Hahaha…

Taye Diggs IS far too eloquent an actor, i agree. watching him in Malibu’s Most Wanted is hilarious though, esp since he plays, well, an eloquent actor trying to pass off as a gangbanger….or gangsta..hell whatever they’re called…but it’s it’s a super funny movie if you haven’t seen it.
choz- i think i live my live cross referencing every day situations with “it’s like that Friends episode….”

Isn’t that really sad, B, how we can do that? Cross-referencing your life with Friends episodes may feel like a sad and pathetic thing to do… but I’m a firm believer WE ARE NOT A LONE.
In fact, more often than not, I have been equated with monica From Friends. Which Friend would you be?!
(That question to Aidan, Britt and anyone else here
)
